Helping Storytellers Tell Their Story

A Boston-based charity that helps people from disadvantaged backgrounds learn and develop writing skills needed to raise funds to refurbish a building.

The team – a fantastic group of talented writers doing great work for their community – had attempted to build a presentation themselves, but it failed to convey the warmth and passion they had for their work, or the success their programmes were having. They needed something that would create an emotional connection with wealthy investors in order to gain their philanthropic backing.

We interviewed the founder to understand the charity’s work in more detail and the impact it had on people’s lives. Taking existing photography and incorporating their website styling, we developed an animated deck – eventually distributed as a video file – that not only told their story in a more emotive way, but felt very “them”.
